Residents come to the caring environment of Nicholas Rothwell House from all religious denominations and from a variety of backgrounds, perhaps when their relatives are on holiday, or when they have had a minor mishap at home and are unable to care for themselves. Some stay when they have been discharged from hospital to enable them to become stronger, before returning home to maintain their independence. Others stay prior to finding permanent care accommodation. The length of stay varies from 1 - 6 weeks.
