Rothwell House
The Feoffees of St. Giles Charity Estates are committed to providing
a high standard of care for the Service Users of Nicholas Rothwell
House supported by the Community Health Services. This will be delivered
by appropriately trained staff in a safe environment, which provides
a family atmosphere for the long stay Service Users and is welcoming
to short term Service Users.
We
will ensure that :-
Care is provided for Frail Elderly people and those with
Physical Disability.
All potential Service users are assessed prior to admission
to be sure we can meet their needs
All care is provided according to the Service Users personal
assessment needs, is regularly reviewed and recorded in a current
Care Plan.
Service Users privacy and dignity is respected and confidentiality
is preserved.
An atmosphere is maintained whereby Service users and their
Relatives can make comments and raise concerns with will be investigated
and recorded.
A programme of social activities exists which is developed
in conjunction with the Service Users.
Arrangements exist to enable good communication with relatives
by operating an 'Open Door' policy.
Mechanisms are in place to engage Service Users, their relatives
and the staff in the operation of, and any proposed changes in the
Home.
Care Staff undergo regular appraisal from which personal
development plans are produced and training needs identified.
A training programme is in place to achieve 50% of Care staff
being trained to NVQ level 2 by 2005
